Fragmento: The first recorded case of thrombophlebitis of the lower limbs is probably that found in the ancient Hindu Medicine writings of Susruta, an Indian healer who lived around the year 800 BCE and wrote six medical books. In one of them, he described the case of a patient with a “swollen and painful leg, which was difficult to treat.”
